Wave motion & Resonance

Jun 10, 2020 | Mechanics | 0 comments

Wave can be described as a disturbance that travels through a medium, transporting energy from one location (its source) to another location without transporting matter.
There are two basic types of wave motion for mechanical waves: longitudinal waves and transverse waves. You can demonstrate both types of wave and illustrate the difference between the motion of the wave and the motion of the particles in the medium through which the wave is travelling.
Phenomenon of Resonance can be demonstrated by the series of blades – vibration is transferred from one blade to another when one starts vibrating at the natural frequency of another.
